Simply Piano is the brainchild of JoyTunes, it is a hugely popular platform for learning the piano and has many awards under its belt including parents choice awards and Apple's Editor Choice. Simply Piano is only available for iOS and Android. Piano apps are very limited in what they can teach you, and Simply Piano is pretty basic even for a piano app. If you find that the gamification of apps really motivates you to practice, then feel free to try one, but I'd point you at Playground Sessions or Piano Marvel if you want to get an app.

Simply Piano (iOS, Android): Out of the four Android options, this was the one I already had a negative pre-conceived opinion based off what I read on here, and the ads. By god. the ads are some of the most deceitful out there. But I'm not giving my feedback on the ads, but the app itself. Simply Piano is a piano learning app developed by JoyTunes (of apps Piano Dust Buster and Piano Maestro). It is highly popular and has even won awards such as Apple's Editor's Choice Award, Parents' Choice Award, and Best App from Google Play.
Been using Simply Piano and it's been a huge confidence booster and so much easier to learn with than books and tutorials. I know it doesn't replace having a teacher and it's not in depth on theory but it gave me what I really needed: motivation and confidence. I'm in the same boat as you where I just want to learn for fun. Simply Piano is worse than a good teacher. It is better than a bad teacher. I think it is a pretty good intro and will get you up to intermediate level however lots of side study is recommended. Youtube or some private lessons. Simply Piano in particular gets a lot of flak because of some of their terrible commercials (master the piano in two weeks! type of stuff.) I haven't personally tried Simply Piano, but based on what I've read about them, the product itself isn't terrible -- it's fairly similar to other apps. Simply Piano Aimed at everyone from beginners to more experienced pianists, Simply Piano offers courses that are broken down into a series of lessons. It also lets you learn a wide variety.
Probably piano teachers. I remember my parents spending close to 150-200$ a month on lessons. 100$ for a whole year? That is insane, but a nice way for people to learn in the comfort of their home and without needing to schedule lessons into their busy life. Simply piano is fun and is also not but I think this way because it can teach you piano it is jusjust not5stars great I've seen better apps but all in all its a pretty good app to play and learn the basics of piano. 8 people found this helpful.
